Data Center Support Engineer - W2 ONLY, NO C2C
We're seeking a highly skilled Data Center Support Engineer to join our team, responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our cutting-edge data centers. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a vital role in coordinating with vendors, defining connectivity requirements, and troubleshooting network issues.
Essential Skills
- 4-6 years of experience in data center facilities infrastructure
- Proven expertise in hardware rack-and-stack
- Ability to provision and install power and network cables
- Strong understanding of first-level network troubleshooting and resolution
- In-depth knowledge of Corning optical fiber technology
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with vendors (QTS, Digital Realty, Data Bank) to coordinate power and cabling, defining and procuring copper and fiber
- Work closely with internal teams to define and implement connectivity requirements
- Lead full cabinet deployments to ensure efficient and reliable data center operations
Top 3 Must-Have Technical Skills
- Understanding of Corning optical fiber technology
- Data Center Facilities infrastructure
- Hardware rack-and-stack
Additional Technical Skills
- Provision and install power and network cables
- Troubleshoot and resolve first-level network issues
