Location: Hybrid W2 contract in Pittsburgh, Dallas, or Phoenix
Duration: 6 – 12 months (Intended length: 3/17/2025 - 9/12/2025; extension and contract-to-hire possible)
Employment Type: W2 Contract (No C2C)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Informatica Production Support Engineer to support critical financial applications within the banking sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong technology background and be responsible for troubleshooting production issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing both short-term solutions and long-term fixes. This role requires hands-on problem-solving and development activities, with a focus on improving processes and performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide production support by responding to critical issues, analyzing problems, and implementing solutions.

Conduct root cause analysis and propose both interim and long-term fixes.

Perform development activities as needed to support and enhance system performance.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement optimization initiatives.

Ensure smooth operations of financial applications by resolving data and system discrepancies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and reliability.
Required Technical Skills:

Informatica (ETL development and support)

Oracle Database (PL/SQL, stored procedures, query optimization)

Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, database tuning, troubleshooting)
Nice-to-Have Skills:

Mainframe (Understanding of legacy systems)

Essbase (Financial data analysis)

OFSA (Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications)
Soft Skills:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred.

7 years of experience in Informatica-based production support and development.
Technical Requirements (Converted from Screening Questions):

Ability to design mappings to convert 3 columns from a source table into 3 rows in a target table without using a normalizer transformation.

Experience in updating a target table in Informatica without using an update strategy transformation.

Knowledge of loading alternative records from a source table into two different target tables.

Capability to return multiple columns from an unconnected lookup.

Understanding of the conditions under which a target definition can be edited from the mapping designer.

Ability to load processed source file names into a target table.
