Computer Enterprises, Inc. (CEI) is seeking a talented Scrum Master to join our Client's dynamic team.
Job at a glance:
• This is a long-term contract, with an initial term of 6 months, planned for extension and/or permanent placement
• This is a fully remote position
• Pay range is $40-$50/hr on W2
• Seeking candidates with 3 years as a Scrum Master and ServiceNow experience
Scrum Master Job Description:
Responsible for and drives the execution of the sprint plan by ensuring smooth operation of agile processes and activities and for facilitating agile ceremonies. Enhance the delivery team through an environment of continual learning, coaching, and process improvements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Organize and facilitate agile activities and ceremonies: sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand up, sprint review, and sprint retrospectives.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to manage the product backlog (user stories/defects).
- Guide the team through user story estimation.
- Coach assigned delivery team(s) in the development of executable sprint plans or execution of workflow processes that uphold security, quality, and acceptance standards.
- Champion and facilitate assigned delivery team(s)' adoption of agile standards, tools, and best practices.
- Escalate impediments to team progress to appropriate party.
- Gather and utilize team feedback and metrics (e.g., quality, delivery, cadence, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and work with team to continuously improve.
- Coach the team to improve collaboration and self-management, promoting positive relationships, both within the team and with external stakeholders.
- Represent the team at broader planning and coordination sessions.
- Stay current and update job knowledge by reading professional publications, participating in educational opportunities, maintaining professional networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Assist Resource Management and Product Management in forecasting short-term staffing needs and long-term workforce plans to identify gaps that could impact I&T's ability to deliver strategic objectives.
- Partner with Resource Management to identify coaching opportunities, create and execute development plans, and promote an environment of continuous learning.

REQUIREMENTS:
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of technology experience is required
- Experience in an agile development environment, agile project management or agile product management is preferred.
- Experience as a Scrum Master, Team Coach or team leadership role is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field, with courses in Business Management, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or similar discipline, is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field is preferred.
- Agile, scrum, or project management certification (CSM, CSP, PMP, SAFe, or similar) is preferred.
