We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control / Quality Assurance Manager to contribute to our aerospace CNC machine shop's growth and success.
Description:
The ideal candidate for the Quality Control / Quality Assurance Manager position in our aerospace CNC machine shop will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, possess a high sense of urgency, and can work closely with all personnel. Effective communication of vital information related to key manufacturing operations is essential. This role demands accuracy and efficiency in inspecting parts with varying complexities. The candidate should be well-versed in high-level shop mathematics, machining operations, metal properties, and advanced GD&T symbols.
Qualifications:
- Extensive Knowledge of basic hand tools (Micrometer, Calipers, Comparator, Height Gage, etc.)
- Extensive Knowledge of Advanced GD&T
- Extensive Knowledge of Tool Calibration
- Extensive Knowledge of advanced level mechanical rock checks
- Extensive Knowledge of ERP system (Fulcrum preferred)
- Extensive Knowledge of RMA, CAR, & NCR’s
- Ability to complete paperwork (Book stamping, AS9102 Forms, KPI’s, etc.)
- Ability to program CMM & Operate CMM’s
- Thorough knowledge of AS9100 standards
- Thorough Knowledge of internal auditing and AS9100 auditing
Responsibilities:
· Setting up and programming various CMM machines (CMM PC-DMIS and/or Calypso software, Manual Browne and Sharpe CMM).
· Conducting advanced mechanical checks on the rock.
· Collaborating with shift managers to optimize workflow.
· Daily floor walks to check SPC, review manufacturing success, ensure sequential part marking, confirm the presence of pins, go/no-go markings, thread gages, and all precision tools.
· Ensuring that Final Inspection, Outsourced, and In-process parts meet Customer PO and print requirements.
· Ensuring compliance with customer Q-Clauses and PO requirements.
· Effectively communicating with CNC Programmers and understanding programming methods.
· Maintaining calibration logs and calibrating employees' and CIM's inspection equipment.
· Utilizing knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures to calculate dimensions and tolerances.
· Proficiency in inspection equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers, and Height Gages.
· Programming skills, including proficiency with CMM PC-DIMS software, Manual Brown and Sharpe CMM, ZEISS, and Hexagon.
· Conducting Shipping Inspections, reviewing all paperwork sent to customers, ensuring compliance with Q-Clauses and PO requirements, and more.
· Critical Thinking to identify effective solutions and approaches.
· Adherence to company policies and procedures, including AS9100 requirements.
· Oversight of shop floor operations to ensure adherence to print and procedures.
· Organization and maintenance of the MRB cabinet.
· Daily review and maintenance of the calibration log.
· Responsibility for maintaining KPIs and keeping EOS updated.
· Ordering required tools for the inspection department.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
