Overview
CTG is seeking to fill a Data Engineer Data Platforms opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ.
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines for the efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data.
- Work with data platforms and ensure high data quality, availability, and performance across various systems.
- Design and implement scalable data architectures and solutions to support business intelligence and analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment with business requirements.
- Develop and maintain APIs using Python and Fast API for seamless data access and integration.
- Leverage prompt engineering techniques to enhance data workflows and improve automation processes.
- Work with Hive for large-scale data storage and querying needs.
- Build and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for seamless updates and releases.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues, ensuring high performance and minimal downtime.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Python and Fast API for building data applications and APIs.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools.
- Hands-on experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) pipelines.
- Expertise in Hive for data storage, management, and querying.
- Understanding of data engineering concepts and best practices.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering for data processing optimization.
- Experience with cloud data platforms and distributed computing.
Experience:
- Proven experience in data engineering roles, specifically related to data platforms and pipeline development.
- Practical experience in creating and maintaining large-scale data processing systems.
- Experience with modern data technologies such as Python, Fast API, and Hive.
- Hands-on experience in CI/CD pipeline creation and management.
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
