Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven, customer-focused IT professional to join our team as a Computer Technician/Help Desk/IT Support Specialist. This role involves providing expert desktop and network support both remotely and on-site for business and retail clients. The ideal candidate will build strong client relationships by understanding each client’s unique needs and delivering tailored IT solutions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients on solutions using our hardware, software, and services
- Confidently resolve technical issues related to users, networks, workstations, servers, printers, VOIP, and other IT systems
- Collaborate with team members to achieve service delivery goals and client satisfaction
- Diagnose and resolve application, email, network, and security issues
- Utilize ticketing, scheduling, and remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools to ensure efficient service delivery
- Understand and exceed customer expectations with effective communication and solutions
- Perform routine maintenance and updates for hardware and software systems
- Provide hardware support for PCs and laptops, including installation and component upgrades
- Travel within the Twin Cities to deliver on-site technical support as needed
- Develop and maintain documentation for consistent standards and security best practices
Skills and Requirements:
Required:
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft technologies, including Windows OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365 applications, and Office 365 administration
- 1-2 years of experience troubleshooting hardware and software in a professional environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills, effective time management, and the ability to escalate issues appropriately
- Dependable in-office availability and reliable transportation for travel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong passion for technology with a commitment to continuous learning
Preferred:
- Strong interest in process improvement
- Experience in a professional, customer-facing environment
- Proficiency with VPN technologies, Azure services, and firewall and switch management
- Experience managing Hyper-V, Windows clustering, and backup solutions
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, DNS, SSL, and wireless and LAN configurations

Qualification Requirements:
- Experience with Windows Server and client operating systems
- Solid understanding of networking and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of virus, malware, and end-point security technologies
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, VPN, and more
- Associate's degree in an IT-related field preferred or equivalent career experience
- 1-2 years of professional experience in IT
- Prior customer service experience
- Valid MN driver's license with a clean driving record
- Pass a criminal background check
