What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Research Technician position at ComputerAid, Inc?
We are looking for an Engineering Specialist. This position will be full-time and on-site.
What You'll Do
- Perform all operations according to our safety requirements and maintain workplace safety in complete alignment with our Total Safety Philosophy
- Conduct experiments following established procedures under the direction of a Sr. Scientist to develop new materials with desired properties
- Ability to work with hazardous chemicals in a safe manner following existing procedures.
- Accurately document all experiments including observations and results and maintain laboratory records
· Assist in maintaining laboratory chemical inventory
Employ standard analytical techniques to characterize materials and test polymers to evaluate their performance under different conditions and environment
· Assist in maintaining all laboratory and analytical equipment. Identify potential improvements to equipment operations and laboratory procedures
· Assist in the development of weekly work objectives
· Prepare data with analysis for discussion with development team
What You'll Need
Required:
- B.S. in Chemistry or closely related field or A.S. with 0-2 years related industrial experience
- Adept in laboratory techniques and equipment. Ability to accurately follow existing laboratory procedures and protocols
· Ability to learn new methods and techniques
· Experience in chemical research is a plus but not required
· Communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with people with positivity from all cultures and at all organizational levels
Physical Demands
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
