Entry level/Junior Chemist

We are looking for an Engineering Specialist. This position will be full-time and on-site.

This position is onsite in Allentown, Pa

What You'll Do

• Perform all operations according to our safety requirements and maintain workplace safety in complete alignment with our Total Safety Philosophy
• Conduct experiments following established procedures under the direction of a Sr. Scientist to develop new materials with desired properties
• Ability to work with hazardous chemicals in a safe manner following existing procedures.

Accurately document all experiments including observations and results and maintain laboratory records

• Assist in maintaining laboratory chemical inventory
• Assist in maintaining all laboratory and analytical equipment. Identify potential improvements to equipment operations and laboratory procedures
• Assist in the development of weekly work objectives
• Prepare data with analysis for discussion with development team

What You'll Need

Required:

• B.S. in Chemistry or closely related field or A.S. with 0-2 years related industrial experience
• Adept in laboratory techniques and equipment. Ability to accurately follow existing laboratory procedures and protocols
• Ability to learn new methods and techniques
• Experience in chemical research is a plus but not required
• Communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with people with positivity from all cultures and at all organizational levels

Physical Demands

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
• Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
• Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
