Your Mission
As an Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Security Engineer, you’ll be the guardian of critical infrastructure. You’ll secure the industrial control systems, SCADA networks, and automation technologies that ensure the safe delivery of our client’s products. This isn’t just IT security with different hardware—it’s a specialized discipline where your work directly impacts physical safety and operational reliability.
What You’ll Do
Bridge the Physical and Digital : Design security architectures that protect control systems, regulation stations, and monitoring networks from emerging cyber threats
Lead OT Security Initiatives : Implement comprehensive security programs specifically designed for industrial environments where availability and safety are paramount
Collaborate Across Disciplines : Work with both engineering and cybersecurity teams to develop security solutions that respect operational constraints
Deploy Next-Gen Defenses : Implement ML / AI-powered monitoring to detect anomalies in industrial systems before they become incidents
Build Resilience : Develop and test incident response playbooks that enable rapid recovery even under worst-case scenarios
Stay Ahead of Threats : Engage with government, industry consortiums, and security communities to anticipate emerging risks to critical infrastructure

One day, the Industrial Control Systems Security Engineer might be fine-tuning security monitoring for a remote service station, the next you could be collaborating with engineers to secure newly deployed automation systems. You’ll know your work matters when you prevent disruptions that could affect thousands of homes and businesses across our service territory.
What You Bring
Experience :
- 4-10 years in industrial cybersecurity, control systems security, or related field
Technical Knowledge : Hands-on experience with PLC programming, HMI-based control systems, industrial protocols, and network security
Certifications : CompTIA Security and / or industrial security certifications a plus
Perspective : Understanding of both engineering and security priorities in critical infrastructure
Communication Skills : Ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders
Adaptability : Comfort working independently in changing environments and as part of cross-functional teams

This role requires occasional travel to facilities throughout Western NY and Northwestern / Central PA. You’ll primarily work standard business hours but may need flexibility during security incidents or planned system changes.
Benefits & Perks
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
