Job Title : Residential Mortgage Underwriter

Our client is seeking an experienced Residential Mortgage Underwriter to join their growing team in Buffalo, NY. This role will focus on reviewing and re-underwriting previously closed mortgage loans to ensure compliance with guidelines and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of recent underwriting experience and a strong understanding of residential mortgage products, including Conventional, FHA / VA, and Business Purpose loans.
Key Responsibilities :
- Re-underwrite mortgage loans, ensuring compliance with guidelines and secondary market requirements
- Analyze income, credit, and property documentation
- Perform due diligence on representation and warranty reviews
- Review and evaluate collateral, title reports, and fraud detection results
- Maintain knowledge of industry regulations and underwriting standards
