A role you will love
The Settlement Specialist is responsible for the ensuring that the settlement occurs for all the purchases and sales that are executed with Computershare’s brokers. The Settlement Specialist will make sure that for sales, shares are delivered and that funds are received from our executing brokers on a daily basis as expected. The Settlement Specialist is also responsible for making sure for purchases that we pay our brokers the funds they are owed and that shares are delivered.
Some Of Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
Required
Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university; one or two years experience or related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Good understanding of Excel and Word.
Basic knowledge of how financial markets work (stock exchanges, daily interactions between broker dealers and the Depository Trust Company, etc..)
1-2 years experience working in a financial firm and have some basic understanding of how the industry handles settlement in order to support continuous improvement and project related activities.
Preferred
Knowledge of how to operate Depository Trust Company’s Participant Terminal System (PTS).

Some Of Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Coordinates and processes daily settlement payments for non-DTC settlements.
- Operates Depository Trust Company’s Participant Terminal System (PTS) to facilitate the daily settlement of millions of dollars of purchases and sales via the PTS delivery vs payment and receipt vs payment functions.
- Reconciles daily settlement dollar and share positions to ensure timely and accurate settlements.
- Researches and resolves daily out of balance situations arising from the above listed duties and responsibilities.
- Communicates effectively with brokerage community and internal and external clients.
- Perform other duties and tasks as needed by management.
Required
