Computershare has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Technical Security Consultant to join our Global Information Security (GIS) team. Our GIS team drives the development, deployment and management of information across our business, globally.
A role you will love
As a Technical Security Consultant, you will be a part of a global team of information security professionals that deliver in-depth technical security services for our most critical applications and infrastructure to ensure that they are highly resilient against existing and emerging cyber security threats. You will provide technical and non-technical information security consultancy, architecture and project services to the Computershare business units and Computershare Technology Services (CTS).
In this role, you will support the Regional CISOs and Global CISO in the development and execution of the Information Security Consultancy program supporting the wider Computershare Information Security Strategy. You will also contribute towards and actively participate in regional and global information security projects and initiatives.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical information security advice to internal stakeholders regarding technology projects to ensure that security is considered and applied prior to deployment in line with relevant SDLC processes
- Maintaining a forward-looking perspective on emerging information security and technology developments and their relevance to Business and Technology Strategies
- Contributing to managing and maintaining vendor relationships, evaluating usefulness and cost of products, and making appropriate recommendations to assist in execution of the enterprise security architecture
- Providing technical and process-based support to the other information security services delivered by the global functions of Global Information Security, including Security Administration, Penetration Tests, Vulnerability Assessments, and Security Monitoring
- Liaising with the wider Global Information Security team to deliver and interpret the results of the network penetration tests, vulnerability scans, patch assessments build compliance scans, support incident investigations, operational security matters and governance
- Developing effective, working relationships with CTS staff and leadership to increase the Global Information Security Group’s impact and strategic influence throughout the region.
- Actively championing Global Information Security and raising awareness about its role, objectives and initiatives to regional Business Unit and CTS staff and management
- Building and managing effective working relationships with other support and governance functions within the region, including Risk, Audit, Compliance, Legal, HR, Marketing and Finance
- Attending regular team, forum and project meetings and provide both verbal and written reports as may be required from time to time
What will you bring to the role?
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to effectively articulate complex technical terms to both technical and non-technical audiences. You also have excellent time and resource management skills.
You’ll also bring:
- 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of the security principles outlined in OWASP, NIST and ISO27000
- Strong understanding of security threats, trends and security standards
Bonus points if you have:
- Possess or are working toward a professional information security certification including CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO/IEC 27001 Internal Auditor or similar
- Experience/knowledge in Azure DevOps
- Prior experience in project management
- Prior experience with scheduling Pen Tests & Issue Reports
- Ability to evaluate the results penetration testing, provide diagnosis of results and assess the risks and consequences to both technical and non-technical people
