Position Summary
Responsible for providing thought leadership and roadmap planning for Salesforce.com functions as they relate to the Sales Division. This includes completing tasks and special projects as directed, maintaining configuration and third-party integrations in alignment with Technology support groups and policies. Represents the primary level of interaction between Sales Division requirements, as defined by user groups and by Sales management, and IT.
Position Accountabilities
- Responsible for outlining and maintaining a Salesforce.com strategy and roadmap, highlight sales division needs in alignment with Company functions across the organization (with special focus on Customer Center, Marketing, Finance and Accounting).
- Ensures alignment with Technology Lead and Technology policies/functions.
- Drives decisions on additional capability delivery (ie. Purchase of third-party software, updates to existing Salesforce instance) in concert with requesting parties.
- Responsible for maintaining license assignment policies, permissions, security, and procedures.
- Monitors user adoption across the org.
- Proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check, and Optimizer
- Provides on-boarding for new support personnel.
- Facilitates interactive meetings with management to develop requirements based on business needs.
- In alignment with Sales Analysis, develops and refines Salesforce reporting functionality including preparing dashboards, pipelines, and providing support for end user requests.
- Provides first level triage support for end-users of Salesforce.
- Works closely with the business users and Technology to develop, test and deploy fields, forms, workflows, interfaces, records, and user roles to meet business requirements.
- Works closely with the business users and Technology to design, manage, and execute on Salesforce configuration projects of varying complexity to ensure the smooth operation of our day-to-day functions.
- Helps identify, evaluate and drive adoption of processes and procedures that enhance the productivity and predictability of the Company business.
- Works cross-functionally with IT to maintain and improve upon our integrations with different systems.
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
Education/Experience/Technological Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business or Computer Science.
- 3 years of experience administering Salesforce.com for a rapidly scaling organization.
- Strong technical knowledge of the Salesforce data structure; understanding of how to leverage the tool to meet complex process and reporting requirements.
- Understanding of Salesforce sharing and security (roles, profiles, permissions, OWD, sharing rules).
- Highly entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance.
- Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes including (but not limited to): Flow, fields, page layouts, record types, custom settings, dashboards, and reports.
- Salesforce.com certification preferred.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills; specifically, customer interaction.
- Strong skills in proactive planning, attention to detail, and responsiveness.
- Intermediate experience with MS Office applications (specifically Excel and Word).
