Overview

We are seeking an experienced lawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and gathering information from external partners, including the Big Four accounting firms, top-tier law firms, and outsourced compliance consulting companies. This information will be used to support senior management in making key decisions.

Responsibilities

1. Global Tax Compliance:

• Oversee and coordinate the group’s tax filing processes across all global subsidiaries, including Singapore, Hong Kong and US.

• Ensure all tax-related matters are handled in a timely and compliant manner, liaising with external advisors as necessary.

2. Financial Compliance Strategy/Regulation:

• Assist in the design and review of compliance strategies related to financial operations, including but not limited to transfer pricing and tax planning.

• Provide legal advice on financial compliance and risk mitigation strategies to ensure adherence to relevant regulations.

3. Internal Controls & Compliance:

• Support the development and maintenance of internal control systems for all subsidiaries within the group.

• Provide legal opinions and advice on compliance initiatives to ensure effective governance across the group.

Qualifications

• J.D. or LLM degree

• At least five to eight years of experience in corporate law, tax law, or financial compliance (at a top law firm or from the Big Four)

• Strong familiarity with tax regulations and corporate financial compliance

• Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask and work with cross-functional teams

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and provide clear, actionable insights to senior management

• Bilingual in Chinese and English, with professional working proficiency
