$160,000 to $200,000 base salary 10 - 15% bonus eligibility benefits
Overview:
Client is seeking a corporate Legal Counsel to take a leadership role in developing and implementing global legal and regulatory strategies and managing day-to-day legal needs. This role will be based onsite in Piscataway, NJ.
Job Responsibilities:
- Providing legal advice to assigned business partners on a broad range of topics
- Staying up to date regarding legal and regulatory developments that may impact our business and formulating and implementing strategies in risk mitigation
- Working and communicating with customers, collaborators, vendors/suppliers and other external strategic partners in connection with our businesses
- Managing the use of outside legal counsel globally
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- A successful candidate should have good communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking abilities
- Juris Doctorate (JD) and admission to practice in a U.S. state or territory of the District of Columbia, and 5 years of combined experience at in-house and law firm
- Expertise in commercial transactions, especially in sales and service agreements highly preferred
- Familiarity with IP-related transactions, e.g. license agreements, a plus; experience with the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries desired
- A client-centric mentality and ability to work collaboratively with and skillfully influence internal clients and stakeholders
- Ability to independently oversee legal matters and manage outside counsel
- Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple matters, and see projects through to conclusion.
Salary : $160,000 - $200,000
