What are the responsibilities and job description for the NGS Technician position at Comrise?
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES：
● Perform NGS workflows including nucleic acid extraction, library preparation, sequencing, and quality control.
● Manage high-throughput experiments while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and reproducibility.
● Ensure high-quality data generation by strictly adhering to protocols, best practices, and quality control measures.
● Maintain accurate records of experimental data in lab notebooks and digital systems, ensuring compliance with lab protocols.
● Track and update inventory data in digital systems to maintain accurate lab inventory records.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate project success and drive continuous lab improvements.
● Oversee lab inventory management, ensuring necessary reagents, supplies, and equipment are readily available for experiments.
● Other tasks assigned by the manager
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE：
● Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Advanced knowledge of molecular biology and NGS workflows is essential.
● NGS library preparation Experience: 3-7 years of hands-on experience in NGS library preparation, with exposure to various library types.
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:
● Sequencer Experience: Proficiency in operating and maintaining various NGS sequencing platforms (e.g., MiSeq, NextSeq, AVITI), ensuring smooth sequencing runs and troubleshooting sequencing issues.
● High-Throughput and Large Sample Handling: Experience managing large sample volumes and high-throughput workflows to ensure efficient and accurate processing.
● Sample Handling Expertise: Strong experience in handling a wide range of input samples, including challenging types such as low-input or environmental samples.
● Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with the NGS team members and contribute to lab efficiency and problem-solving.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
● Familiarity with automation platforms and liquid-handling systems
● Experience in Pacbio/Nanopore sequencing

● Works with: you will be working with internal NGS team and business stakeholders
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
