Job Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cosmetic Formulation Research and Development
Engineer to join our team. As a Cosmetic Formulation R&D Engineer, you will be responsible for
developing innovative and high-quality cosmetic products, specifically in the field of makeup. Your
expertise and creativity in formulating cosmetics will contribute to the success of our brand and
the satisfaction of our customers.
Responsibilities :
1. Conduct research and stay updated with the latest trends, innovations, and developments in the
cosmetic industry, specifically in the field of makeup.
2. Develop new and innovative cosmetic formulations for various makeup products, including
foundations, lipsticks, eyeshadows, blushes, and mascaras, among others.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and quality control,
to ensure the successful development and launch of cosmetic products.
4. Conduct experiments and tests to evaluate the performance, stability, and safety of cosmetic
formulations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
5. Optimize existing cosmetic formulations to improve product performance, texture, durability,
and sensory attributes.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve any formulation-related issues that may arise during the development
process.
7. Maintain accurate documentation of all experiments, formulations, and processes followed,
adhering to good laboratory practices.
8. Participate in the evaluation and selection of raw materials, ensuring their compatibility and
quality.
9. Collaborate with suppliers to source and evaluate new raw materials, ensuring they meet the
required standards and specifications.
10. Stay updated with current regulations and guidelines related to cosmetic product development
and ensure compliance in all formulations.
11. Train and educate junior team members on cosmetic formulation techniques, best practices,
and industry standards.
Requirements :
1. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is
preferred.
2. Proven experience as a Cosmetic Formulation R&D Engineer or a similar role in the cosmetic
industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, raw materials, and their functions.
4. Strong understanding of cosmetic formulation principles, techniques, and best practices.
5. Proficient in conducting experiments, tests, and evaluations of cosmetic formulations.
6. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards for cosmetic product
development.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot formulation-related issues.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
