Description :
- The AV / MM Engineer provides design, installation, and maintenance of Audio-Visual / Multimedia (AV / MM) systems. The AV / MM Engineer is also responsible for the configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational AV / MM systems
Required :
TS / SCI w / POLYGRAPH BEFORE CONSIDERATIONCertification as a Technology Specialist (CTS) and / or CTS-Installation and / or CTS Design training certificationPrepare operational guidesTrain Government customers in proper use of AV / MM SystemsProvide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of AV / MM systemsProvide Tier 1 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problemsManage the daily activities of configuration and operation of AV / MM systemsProvide assistance to users in accessing and using AV / MM systemsDocument hardware and software configuration management processes and proceduresCoordinate hardware installations across multiple sitesMaintain and develop the environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing, and integrationApply concepts and define and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrate those scripts with the hardware and software build processConduct analysis on AV MM systems by ensuring designs are cost efficient, able to be integrated, and reliableCommunicate with the other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated design and assure project completionDesigns, documents, and develops code for programmable devicesAnalyze complex hardware systems, hardware design, architecture, network design, and other technical hardware issuesPerform testing on equipmentProvide hardware maintenance support, both preventative and remedialDeploy, install, and implement AV / MM at CONUS and OCONUS sitesConduct site surveysStreamline control system interfaces to be fully automated and maximize user experienceConfigure control systems, communications devices and peripheral equipmentDevelop costing proposals for the program managerPerform telecommunications punch block installation and maintenance for serial copper data pathsInterpret drawings, specifications, and other related documentsDesign a wide variety of AV / MM solutions including multi-level security VTC / PC systems, enterprise level VTC and collaboration systems, conference rooms, classrooms, command centers, auditoriums, digital signage, and streamingActs as equipment custodian and performs inventory asset management and accountability functionsAssist in defining and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrating those scripts with the hardware and software build processInterpret facility and AV / MM drawings from architects and facilities program managersOrganize and directs hardware installations across multiple sitesImplement hardware and software version control process, policies and proceduresLeads the contractors in the designs of new products and processes and improve and maintain existing productsProvide technical leadership to level 1 and level 2 contractor engineersAct as internal consultant providing technical guidance on complex projectsOrganize and direct hardware installationsDevelop AV / MM installation schedules based upon equipment delivery, integration complexity, and customer prioritiesPrepare drawings documenting as-built configurationsOrganize and direct teams to address critical system failuresQualifications :
Certification as a Technology Specialist (CTS) and / or CTS-Installation and / or CTS Design training certificationBachelors degree in a technical discipline is required. 4 years of additional AVMM experience can be substituted for a Bachelors degree for a total of 9 years experienceClearance Requirements
