Currently, we are seeking a Systems Engineer III (Splunk) to join our Team!
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and support existing Splunk and equivalent hardware infrastructure
- Provide onboarding, configuration, and optimization of Splunk instances
- Provide expertise in the deployment, configuration, and operations of Splunk instances
- Troubleshoot and debug issues as they occur within Splunk deployments
- Assist with the development of advanced reports and dashboards to meet the requirements of the organization
- Provide support during network inquiries and incident response reporting
Must Have:
- Security certification
- Splunk architecture, deployment, and clustering
- Data onboarding (forwarders, heavy forwarders, HEC)
- Search Processing Language (SPL) and dashboard development
- Knowledge of security and infrastructure data sources (SysLog, Windows Event Logs, NetFlows)
- Alerting, reporting, and playbook integration
- Experience with Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) or Enterprise Security (ES) is a plus
- TS/SCI w/ POLYGRAPH REQUIRED BEFORE CONSIDERATION
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
- Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- Twenty (20) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is require
