Custodian - Comstock Public Schools

POSITION: Custodian - Comstock Elementary School

Full time 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm)

SALARY: Hourly rate starting at $15.30 per hour; $16.33 upon successful completion of probation
Full time position with benefits
10 paid time off days (PTO) annually

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED preferred
2 years in a related or similar role preferred
Must pass background check (approximately $70 fee paid by applicant)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated ability to work well with students, staff, administration, and community members
• Positive attitude, manner, and appearance; ability to communicate effectively
• Willingness to be trained and enthusiasm to join a team
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Pride in completing work effectively/efficiently
• Maintain flexible work schedule, as necessary, and perform other duties as assigned
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilize training to properly and efficiently clean assigned area
• Practice proper sanitizing protocols to ensure clean and safe environment
• Perform essential job functions specific to this position
• Proactively seeks areas to clean outside of defined scope as able to
• Reports to the Custodial Lead and Custodial Supervisor
