Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage land development projects, ensuring effective coordination and successful project delivery.
• Provide civil engineering design services, including site planning, stormwater management, and infrastructure design for both private sector clients and public sector/federal agencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including landscape architects, surveyors, and planners, to create integrated and sustainable designs.
• Ensure projects comply with regulatory standards and local jurisdiction requirements.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and ensure timely completion within scope.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to meet project milestones and resolve issues.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a positive and productive team environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4-10 years of civil engineering experience for engineers; Minimum of 8 years land development experience in local jurisdiction
• Proven experience in land development design, including stormwater management, site development, and infrastructure planning.
• Proficiency in Civil3D and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, design processes, and project management.
• Excellent communication skills to work with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
• Motivated, detail-oriented, and focused on delivering high-quality results.
• Someone from Virginia Tech with Land development program preferred.
• Must have EIT and or PE/working for PE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

License/Certification:

• Engineer In Training (Preferred)
• Professional Engineer (Preferred)
