Job Description
Supervises and coordinates workers' activities in maintaining, installing, and performing preventative maintenance on various machines to manufacture fencing by performing the following duties.
Directly supervises employees in the Sawmill.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
This position reports to the Mill Operations Manager.
The maintenance manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all mechanical and electrical work in the facility.
Ensure the safety of all team members and contractors working in the plant or department by driving continuous improvement.
This includes supporting all corporate safety programs, developing SOPs, identifying and eliminating hazards, and enforcing all safety rules and regulations.
Develop, manage, and lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs and inventory tracking procedures.
Work to ensure the mill can meet priority production goals through the supervision of the maintenance crew and maintenance project management.
Helps identify and plan modifications that will improve the efficiency and safety of the mill.
Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure deadlines are met.
Develop and drive adherence to preventative maintenance procedures.
Supervise and coordinate all mechanical and electrical machinery troubleshooting, repair, and installation.
Understand the production team's needs and coordinate priorities for the delivery of corrective maintenance.
Follow up on recurring downtime issues and work to eliminate them.
Monitor and maintain mechanical spare parts and supply inventory.
Partner with purchasing to ensure that correct parts and services are purchased and received on time at the most competitive price from our vendors.
Help advance new components and technology into our operations.
Inspect equipment for potential problems.
Investigate and lead solution initiatives.
Implement and maintain continuous improvement throughout our organization.
Maintain training requirements and records for millwrights, electricians, and other craftspeople.
Requirements:
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to identify the root cause of problems and effectively initiate immediate corrective action
5 years of experience maintaining mechanical and/or electrical industrial systems preferred
Three or more years of directly related maintenance management experience or any combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key duties of this position
Knowledge of plant equipment, operations, predictive/preventative maintenance systems, and effective project management practices
Strong MS Office skills, with at least Intermediate Excel skills.
Self-disciplined with attention to detail
Must have strong organizational and analytical skills
Must be able to work effectively in a team
Must have strong oral and written communication skills

This position is exempt per FLSA guidelines and not eligible for overtime.
A typical schedule requires the ability to work 40 hours a week.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per hour
