Salesforce Scrum Master
Location: Houston, TX
Responsibilities:
- Manage Salesforce projects
- Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily scrums, retrospectives, and demos
- Apply Agile delivery methodologies, standards and tools
- Apply facilitation techniques to ensure effectiveness of the Scrum meetings
- Schedule and facilitate daily scrum sessions
- Ensure meeting outcomes are defined, understood and achieved for the Scrum meetings
- Ensure stories for the sprint are playable (estimated, sized, prioritized)
- Work with the Product Owner to prioritize and right-size stories in the Product Backlog
- Facilitate the team's planning of the sprint based on prioritized stories, team capacity and historical velocity trends
- Facilitate decision making based on Agile values and principles
- Provide accurate project estimates and tightly manages project budget, approved funding, forecasts and actuals
- Maintain focus on backlog and sprint timeline
- Improve transparency within the team and broader organization
- Track and remove team's impediments.
- Inspire creative solutions that eliminate waste and improve team throughput.
- Guide the team and broader organization on how to use Agile principles and values
- Act as a leader to the scrum team
- Track & assess team's performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Ensure visibility of current work in progress by the team (stories and defects)
- Proactively anticipate, recognize and detect items that may distract the team from completing the sprint
- Ensure that the goals of the release and sprint are visible and understood by the team
- Diagnose, understand, and facilitate team dynamics to optimize team performance
- Assist in creating the user stories
- Configure JIRA and track/manage user stories and defects
- Provide solutions and continuous improvement opportunities to efficiently solve problems and provides critical thinking skills
Required:
- 5 years of IT Scrum Master experience
- Extensive experience leading scrum teams in the design and development of enterprise scale applications utilizing agile techniques
- Demonstrated experience leading sprint planning in conjunction with the product owner
- Extensive experience running standups, sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives
- Experienced in handling multiple scrum teams in a distributive Agile environment
- Experience creating user stories
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvements among the team while increasing velocity of delivery
- Experience in leading hybrid Agile projects, where some work streams follow waterfall principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and concisely cross business delivery teams.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate with a broad set of constituencies, both technical and non-technical.
- Must have experience managing Salesforce projects (preferably Marketing Cloud projects experience)
