Job Description
Job Title : Clinical Documentation Specialist

JOB PURPOSE :
Allscripts SCM (Sunrise Clinical Manager) is the EHR used by our customer. The Clinical Documentation component is used by physicians, nurses and ancillary department staff to document procedures, patient status, and other clinical components. We are seeking 2 resources to develop clinical documentation notes within SCM.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS :
- Works with management and end users to identify, analyze and prioritize documentation needs and requirements.
- Analyzes complex clinical operations and structure processes to facilitate decision making regarding clinical documentation in SCM.
- Participates in rounding / shadowing with a variety of clinical end users to gather requirements from and perform gap analysis.
- Documents requirements from users.
- Effectively communicates with users, at all levels of the clinical documentation build team.
- Follows the Clinical Documentation configuration management process from idea, design, development, test, implementation and maintenance.
- Develops clinical documentation using the configuration tools within Allscripts SCM.
- Ensures all build is completed within established time frames.
- Maintains complete and detailed build documentation.
- Troubleshoots any found / reported issues and communicates with clinical documentation supervisor.
