PRIMARY DUTIES :
All candidates will perform the following duties :
Be familiar of the feature sets and capability enhancements installed on the core routers required to complete circuit connectivity and critical to maintenance of the theater network.Provide knowledge and understanding of existing circuit routing and voice capabilities in theater that are required to ensure that not only Voice over the SIPR (VOSIP), but all service connectivity is maintained.Provide other key facets of on-site technical support include conducting systems testing (e.g. Noise Figure Measurements, Phase Noise), technical guidance, network setup with routers, switches, and IP accelerators, VoIP, VoIP switched infrastructure, Call Manager configuration, system troubleshooting, establishing efficient procedures to resolve trouble tickets, and coordinating the deployment of software release and equipment training.Provide knowledge to installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the RF / satellite, IP network, and fiber distribution systems. functions that include designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and diagnosing of network infrastructure and its application components for CJTF, ARCENT, and collation partner networks.Provide knowledge of the functions involving administration and maintenance of following sample hardware list.ASR, Nexus, 7200s, 3900s, 3800s, 6500s, 4500s, 3700s, 3500s, ASAs, and Netscreens.
Provide knowledge but not limited to services, systems and applications :O&M of GEM-X servers
Administration of ACS / TACACS servers, user accounts, and administrator accounts at RNOSC-A level and belowCiscoWorks Network Configuration Management (CWNCW) administrationIP management, validation, and identification and resolution of IP conflictsCreation of network health reports for Tier 1, 1.2, and 1.3 devicesAdministration of Tier 1.2 / 1.3 devicesO&M of Route ExplorerApplication of CCNP level skills with CCIE knowledge (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, and DMVPN / NHRP)TACLANETACACS / ACSCWNCMRoute Explorer / Packet DesignCisco IOSNETQoSProvide the experience in writing technical documentation and doing amendments.SKILLS REQUIRED :
All candidates will have the following minimum skills :
Four (4) years of progressively complex experience in computer simulation, client-server architectures, advanced networking techniques and protocols, data bases (flat-file, relational, and object-oriented), high-order programming languages, and operating systems (e.g., UNIX / ULTRIX, HP-UX, SUN-OS, VAX / VMS, Harris VOS).Minimum of two (2) years of experience in design and development of advanced networking techniques and protocols, data base management systems, and programming in high order languages (e.g., C, C , ADA, FORTRAN).Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally with diverse audiences, internally and externally to foster strong teamwork.Work well independently or as a member of a team environmentDetail-oriented, with strong analytical skills.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Preferred Bachelor's degree in Engineering, OR an Associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR eleven (11) total years of recent specialized experience.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.Experience in maintaining certifications related to the requirement of the position.CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
