Purpose :
Comtech is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will will design, develop, test, and debug complex software systems. Comtech engineers have the opportunity to work at all levels of a product, from the lowest level device drivers on embedded platforms to front-end web technologies. Software Engineers are responsible for defining and developing new features, as well as providing engineering support for both new and existing products.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of product development for communication systems, including design, software development, testing, debugging, and documention.
- Design, implement, and support major enhancements for new and existing products.
- Create tools and prototypes to assist in developing the core product efficiently.
- Work as part of a team with minimal supervision, with the ability to work solo when necessary.
- Work closely with government and commercial customers, participate in design reviews, and deliver engineering-level documentation.
- Work with a test team to diagnose and debug problems, both internally generated and those reported by customers.
- Lead and mentor other team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
