Construction Project Manager
We are in search of a Construction Project Manager in the Northern DE region for a residential Drywall and Paint company. Project Managers will be provided an opportunity to advance within a fast growing construction company. Construction knowledge is preferred but recent college graduates will be considered and training will be provided. The Project Manager is responsible for the scheduling and supervising of all phases from start to finish and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Must be organized and able to coordinate and communicate with a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.
Responsibilities
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Manage contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
- Supervise the work of labor, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
Skills
- Understanding of construction procedures/material and project management principles is preferred
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A self starting, team player with leadership abilities
- The ability to understand and to make oneself understood in Spanish (preferred)
