We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our growing team. This position will be based out of our Dodge Center, MN location and will involve travel approximately every other week. We offer competitive pay with uncapped commission opportunities based on sales volume.
Position Overview
As a Sales Engineer, you’ll combine your technical knowledge with strong interpersonal skills to recommend the right mixer truck solutions to customers. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles and product functionality, as you’ll be expected to interpret technical requirements, collaborate with our engineering and production teams, and offer tailored solutions to meet each customer's needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site visits with current and prospective customers to assess their needs and provide technical product recommendations
- Use engineering knowledge to match customer applications with Con-Tech mixer configurations
- Work closely with engineering, production, and sales teams to ensure accurate and timely quotes and order specifications
- Prepare and deliver detailed technical presentations, quotes, and product documentation
- Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support to customers
- Review and inspect customer units during production to ensure accuracy and satisfaction
- Maintain relationships with existing customers and actively identify new business opportunities
- Contribute to the division’s growth by managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing
Requirements
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)
- 2 years of technical sales or engineering experience (preferably in manufacturing or commercial vehicle industries)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to travel regularly
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; CRM experience preferred
