For over 90 years, Con Yeager Spice Co. is a family-owned and operated spice-distributing and seasoning-manufacturing company, serving commercial and retail customers. Our roots are, and continue to be, strongly anchored in the meat-processing industry. We have an immediate need for a full time Shipper. This position works Monday-Friday, daylight shift.
Job Summary Shipper:
Primarily responsible for processing shipments with computer software for UPS and FedEx. This position will pick and organize customer orders and ship them via UPS and FedEx.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities for Shipper:
- Pick and organize customer order printouts
- Gather packages and/or cases of product from warehouse, ensure accuracy
- Tape all packed boxes or cases sufficiently for shipment
- Weigh each box and record all weights on customer pick sheet
- Enter customer number into UPS or FedEx computer
- Print shipping labels, place labels on boxes and stack on pallet
- Follow procedures for warehouse shipping duties
Required Skills and Abilities for Shipper:
- Basic knowledge of computer
- General math skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Speak and read English
- Dependable team player
- Prior small parcel shipping experience
Education and Experience – Shipper:
- One year of general work experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Demands – Shipper:
• Standing or walking for up to 8 hours
• Sitting for up to 1 to 2 hours
• Bending and light to heavy lifting up to approximately 60 pounds
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work –Shipper:
- Full time, Non-Exempt (hourly)
- Monday – Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
