Celeste Processing Technician

Scope of Position:

You will be responsible for Food Safety and Quality Assurance by monitoring and maintaining line speed and efficiency, tracking and maintaining inventory levels and communicating consistently with all areas of the department. You must follow all OSHA and Plant Safety rules and will report to the supervisor. This position is an onsite role. #LI-Onsite

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

All areas:

• Ensure all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner, consistent with company safety procedures and expected behaviors
• Fill out paperwork to track production, quality, downtime, and other requirements and enter data in the appropriate computer programs
• Perform all quality and weight checks, ensure correct line speeds, and make necessary adjustments
• Help train new members on the team
• Accomplish Master Sanitation (MSS) responsibilities as required
• Help coordinate schedules, department start-ups, shut downs, and cleaning
• Continuously improve the production processes
• Provide feedback on team member performance
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Explain product flow from the bakery to the warehouse
• Participate in improvement teams (Kaizen, TPM, etc.)
• Maintain inventory records and ensure rotation of materials for accurate traceability
• Perform any other duties as requested by the team leader and may require overtime
• Track usage of processing ingredients insuring accuracy, and enter data into the appropriate computer program

Processing Mixer

• Secure and track materials, prep and mix tomato sauce for pizza processing
• Retrieve ingredients and set up the line according to production code and schedule
• Pull samples of ingredients and set up the line according to production code and schedule
• Input data into the inventory control system
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Physical Demands:

While performing this job, you are regularly required to use hands to finger; handle; or feel and reach with hands and arms. You are frequently is required to stand; walk; climb; balance; stoop; kneel; twist; crouch, and crawl. You must consistently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. While performing this job, you are frequently exposed to extreme heat and cold. You are frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
