What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Safety Management Coordinator position at CONAGRA?
Job Summary
You will support the Plant Principal Engineer in the training, documentation, and implementation of all elements of OSHA’s PSM requirements for the refrigeration system processes for the Russellville Plant (ammonia and/or glycol). You will be based in the Russellville Plant, reporting to the Principal Engineer.
Position Responsibilities
- You will manage all PSM files related information for OSHA requirements, including P&ID and SOPs.
- Assist the Principal Engineer with creating computer-generated inspections using MP2 and other software.
- Help us communicate ConAgra PSM policies in the plant and ensure our teammates are trained under the PSM program.
- You will conduct Process Hazard Analyses and “What If” surveys around our manufacturing location.
- You will work with the Principal Engineer to update Mechanical Integrity, PHA, NH3 purchase records and PSM action item documentation.
- Participate in Incident Investigations, help us Assemble investigation teams and then you will conduct incident investigations.
- Prepare Incident Reports and inform management of up-to-date information.
- You will schedule and conduct PSM meetings with employees and management.
- You will work with Refrigeration Engineer and Refrigeration Maintenance Technicians.
- You may have to work other shifts and may have to perform other tasks.
Position Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other PSM related safety program is required.
We require 3 years of experience working in PSM in a manufacturing environment with ammonia or refrigeration systems.
HazMat and HAZWOPER certifications.

While performing the responsibilities of this job, you are required to talk and hear, and sit for up to 8 hours a day. You will frequently use hands to touch and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend or stoop, kneel, and crawl; and taste and smell. You must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. You will experience a noisy manufacturing environment that may be hot or cold, dry or wet, and may have slippery conditions. You will work at height in some situations and also may work in closed spaces.
