We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Sales, Amazon to oversee our Conair and scunci brands. The Director will lead and drive the sales strategy, revenue growth, and customer relationships in the Beauty and Home Care business. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Amazon and the Ecommerce landscape, a strong analytical mindset, and a passion for creating seamless online shopping experiences. This role will collaborate closely with finance, marketing, product, and operations teams to maximize online sales performance.  The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with expertise in the Amazon platform, digital marketing, customer acquisition and conversion rate optimization.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies tailored to Amazon’s platform, including forecasting, assortments, promotions, site maintenance, and product placements.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with Amazon’s account managers and other key stakeholders to influence decisions and secure favorable terms for our products. 
  • Revenue Growth: Analyze current trends and customer insights to drive revenue growth through the Ecommerce platform. Leverage promotions, seasonal campaigns, ad tactics, and product launches to optimize performance. Coordinate with Performance Marketing team and ad agency to gain maximum ad performance increasing traffic, conversion and strong ROI on spend.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the Amazon sales team, setting performance goals, managing development plans, and fostering a high-performing and motivated team culture.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, trade, marketing, product, operations, and technology teams to align on all Amazon initiatives with broader company objectives.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Work closely with data analytics tools to monitor KPIs, report on key metrics, and adjust strategies as needed. Track and measure the success of all Amazon initiatives and provide insights to leadership. Influence Product Marketing team and product pipeline by keeping the organization current on competitive brands and trends.
  • Account Management: Contract Negotiations and manage trade investment to create customer and company value by consistently measuring and enforcing trade terms, pricing and identifying opportunities for improvement; Customer development strategies to deliver consumption and sales growth targets
  • Supply Chain/Distribution Management: Collaborating with Ops to improve forecasting, demand planning, fill rates/service, prioritization, and chargeback reductions. 
  • Market & Competitor Analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies, and provide strategic recommendations based on findings.
 
Essential Qualifications:
  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Digital Commerce or related field.
  • Experience:  8 years of experience in sales and/or Ecommerce with a proven track record of driving revenue growth in the digital environment.
  • Platform Expertise:  Proficiency with data analytics tools such as Amazon Vendor Central, Stackline, Similarweb.
  • Leadership Skills:  Proven experience leading, managing and developing teams, setting clear objectives, and achieving high performance.
  • Analytical Skills:  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Communication Skills:  Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a capacity to present complex insights in an accessible format for all stakeholders.
  • Negotiation:  Skilled in negotiating contracts and closing deals to achieve sales targets.
  • Adaptability:  Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly.
    Environmental Factors:
    • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
    • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
    • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
    • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business (20% if needed)
