What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Conaway Homes?
Conaway Homes is looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. This role will work alongside our current bookkeeper to help maintain financial records, including purchase orders, construction draws, receipts and payments. This position will also work closely with our Controller to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments. Our ideal candidate must be familiar with Quick Books Enterprise and have experience in construction and property management. Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.
Responsibilities
· Data entry, maintain records and financial statements
· Reconcile multiple bank accounts daily, make daily deposits, and pick up mail
· Entering bills and generating purchase orders
· Process accounts receivable/payable and backup payroll when/if necessary
Skills
· Proven bookkeeping experience
· Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
· Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
· Data entry skills along with strong organizational skills
· Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
· Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and MS Excel
· Customer Service Minded
· Extremely Detail Oriented
