About The Position
The Materials Regulatory Compliance Specialist will support the Information Systems department’s Chemical Management Office. Below are the key responsibilities:
- Surveillance and analysis of critical material or chemical substance related regulation and legislative activity
- Coordinate the surveillance and broadcast of critical material or chemical substance related legislation and regulation to the business
- Create and distribute Chemical Regulatory Notices (CRN) or “news alerts” to key internal stakeholders
- Input regulatory/legislative summaries into internal company software
- Using various tools, coordinate the tracking of substances being pursued by local and global regulatory or legislative bodies throughout the regulatory/legislative timeline
- Occasional special projects may be requested, depending on available time
This is what you should possess to be successful in this role:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years of relevant experience working with consumer products industries, especially complex durable goods industries
- Working knowledge and understanding of global material or chemical substance regulations and legislations which may impact the auto industry
- Demonstrated analytical and reporting skills, such as issuance of reports to communicate technical matters to stakeholders
- Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), adobe acrobat
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Problem solver with a customer-first approach and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to support on-site
- Fluency in English; must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future
