JOB TITLE: Estimator
DEPARTMENT: Office with potential to work remotely in 12 months
REPORTS TO: President
HOURS: 8:00-4:30pm
SUMMARY: Determines Concast materials needed to meet customer requirements shown in RFQ (Request for Quote). Works with design team to compile full BOM for larger projects. Input BOM into Global Shop Solutions (ERP Software) to create a proposal that is sent to customers through sales rep.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Estimates product costs for manufactured products
· Communicates (email and phone) with sales representatives, customers, shipping manager, operations manager, president, and admin assistants.
· Estimates lead times on quotes based off current production
· Read and understand customer specifications for project requirements
· Comprehend the company’s product line and manufacturing limitations
· Estimates freight costs based on current freight rates acquired from carriers
· Organizes and prioritizes workload to meet customer due dates
· Files and organizes paperwork
· Utilizes email, phone, and other communication techniques to convey information
· Performs other related duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
