Job Description:
At Concentric, the Business Development and Marketing Coordinator plays a crucial role in the development and execution of marketing and business development activities to promote the Concentric Energy Advisors brand. This diverse position requires a blend of administrative, graphic design, project management, technical writing, business development, and critical thinking skills.
The Business Development and Marketing Department is responsible for managing activities from top-of-the-funnel brand awareness to mid-funnel business development through opportunity closing and contracting.
A key responsibility of this position is to craft high-quality proposals that effectively address client needs. By closely collaborating with internal stakeholders, the coordinator ensures that proposals are polished and distinctive, enhancing the chances of winning competitive pursuits.
The Business Development and Marketing Coordinator reports to the Director and collaborates with the Senior Analyst and Assistant. A writing sample is required with your resume to be considered for this position.
This is a hybrid role, working onsite in our Marlborough, MA headquarters three days per week, with the option of two remote work days per week.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the coordination of department efforts from pre-RFP release to submission (including proposals, interview preparation, pre-bids, qualifications development, and weekly business pursuit meetings).
- Collaborate with other internal stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and produce qualifications, proposals, and presentations while meeting deadlines.
- Contribute to content development (writing, editing, proofreading) for qualifications, proposals, and presentations.
- Take ownership of the proposal process and commit to ensuring compliance with submission instructions and requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of all strategic and tactical marketing initiatives.
- Create, maintain, and strengthen the Companys overall brand presence across all media.
Other Responsibilities You Will Support:
- Create, execute, and deploy email marketing campaigns, online content, and press releases.
- Coordinate and organize tradeshow/conference arrangements (attendance, registration, promotional material, shipping).
- Assist in managing the content of our external-facing corporate website.
- Conduct market research, articulate results, and make recommendations.
- Collaborate with external vendors.
- Prepare marketing-related invoices for approval.
- Perform other functions as assigned.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelors Degree required, preferably with course work in marketing, business, communications and/or writing.
- Superior creative and technical writing skills, with a critical eye for detail and the ability to produce high-quality content.
- Ability to work professionally, collaboratively, and flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
- Capacity to accept and incorporate feedback to create multiple versions of a deliverable.
- Ability to take responsibility for assigned tasks, work independently, and demonstrate self-motivation.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
- Experience managing highly confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and Adobe Acrobat.
Qualifications Preferred but Not Required:
- Experience with sales coaching
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Experience with the professional services, utility/energy or legal industries
Additional Information:
The base salary for this role will typically fall between $70,000 - $75,000 plus an annual incentive compensation bonus. Concentric also offers opportunities to participate in equity ownership.
