What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Remote RN- Occupational Health position at Concentric Methods?
Concentric Methods is seeking an Occupational Health Registered Nurse in support of our contract with the US Postal Inspection Service (USPIS).
The part-time remote RN will oversee and manage the implementation and compliance of Occupational Medical and Health Services programs and initiatives of assigned territory.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the implementation of national Occupational Medical and Health Services programs, policies and initiatives (e.g., wellness program, medical suitability, medical case management, employee medical records custodianship, regulatory compliance, and emergency medical response)
- Provides guidance and policy interpretation on federal law and USPS policies and procedures for work-related injuries limitations and the return to work efforts
- Ensures regulatory compliance of Occupational Health Services (OHS) policies and procedures regarding medical suitability and required physical examinations and applicant processing
- Assists and guides the Reasonable Accommodation Committee within the area of responsibility related to non-injury compensation issues to ensure compliance with USPS policies and procedures as outlined in the EL-307
- Acts as the medical point of contact (POC) and responds to medical emergencies in the facility of domicile. Assists National Preparedness in response to man-made and natural disasters. Develops/reviews response plans and identifies/coordinates with federal and community based medical services (e.g., CDC, County Health Departments) to support these plans
- Serves as the contracting officer representative (COR) and primary point of contact (POC) for medical services contracts. Develops statements of work, evaluates proposals, monitors and manages contracts and for various programs. Ensures deliverables meet contractual requirements and deadlines, certifies invoices and maintains all records and files. 7. Coordinates cross-functionally with all Human Resources function to ensure effective and comprehensive support. Works proactively to foster a workplace of diversity, inclusion and engagement
Job Requirements:
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in order to provide technical advice, program guidance, and policy interpretation to headquarters and field employees on the full range of programs, systems, policies and procedures
- Knowledge of Occupational Health Services (OHS) policies and procedures at a level sufficient to ensure area-wide compliance with the following but not limited to Department of Transportation (DOT) programs, medical examinations (fitness for duty), applicant medical requirements, and return-to-duty medical guidance
- Ability to implement national Occupational Health Services programs, policies and initiatives
- Ability to oversee and supervise medical contract services
- Applicant must possess a current Registered Nurse license from a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia. Possess and maintain a current Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
- SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Willingness to submit to a Tier 4 or Background Investigation (BI). This investigation requires, among other things, completion of a questionnaire and fingerprinting for a criminal records check. The investigation may require a drug test. The successful applicant will be required to meet and maintain the requirements of this level of background investigation while holding this position

- Knowledge of National or Emergency Preparedness efforts at a level sufficient to ensure compliance in regards to medical services implementation
- Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Salary : $72,100 - $91,300
