POSITION SUMMARY
This Regional Sales Manager will be a driven, competitive, talented, organized, technically savvy, and motivated self-starter. Sales team members are responsible for the growth and development of their respective territories. Each member is also accountable for consistent new opportunity prospecting, sales pipeline management, weekly sales presentations, drafting proposals, closing deals, and maintaining post-sale relationships with clients.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interact with new American Calibration and Concept sister company customers to determine current and future calibration needs.
- Determine calibration pricing based on quantity, type of equipment, type of calibration being requested, and whether work will be done on-site or in our lab environment.
- Deliver pricing to clients and negotiate as necessary within approved pricing constraints.
- Present long-term fixed-price contract options & benefits to clients to secure multi-year agreements.
- Respond to inbound leads generated through all demand-generation programs.
- Engage with and qualify prospective and existing customers to effectively articulate American Calibration’s value proposition, determine requirements and expectations, recommend appropriate solutions, and emphasize solution features and benefits to effectively acquire customers.
- Partner with sister company Metrology capital equipment sales teams to ensure seamless handoff upon account introduction
- Maintain pipeline opportunities and activities accurately within Salesforce CRM.
- Participate in ongoing training to increase professional growth and job effectiveness.
- Perform at a level achieving and exceeding all activity and sales metrics.
- Achieve assigned Key Performance Indicators and quotas on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
CORE COMPETENCIES
- Proven record of accomplishment in sales or business development, preferably in a B2B manufacturing services environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively negotiate with clients.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Knowledge of the industry or market segment, including understanding competitor offerings and client needs.
- Ability to clearly articulate operational requirements to ensure efficient and effective new customer onboarding.
CORE EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Preferred experience in Quality, Calibration, Measurement, Instrument or Testing industry or a related field, bringing insights and networks that could boost business development.
- Advanced analytical skills are needed to spot trends, opportunities, and potential challenges in the market.
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM software or other sales tools is essential for streamlining client relationships.
- Must be able to make clear recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, using wise judgment consistent with policies and procedures.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, marketing, or a related field lays a solid foundation in sales principles and strategies. Preferred but not required.
- 10 years' experience in sales, preferably in the manufacturing services environment.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet all deadlines.
- Exhibit a high level of professional conduct, integrity, and accountability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Salesforce CRM
- 75% travel in the field, company vehicle, or allowance provided. Very few overnights.
MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to be on your feet while performing job requirements

- Ability to crouch, grasp, and lift products above shoulders to lift boxes and products from the floor properly.
