Concept Pharmacy is seeking a Data Technician to support our pharmacy operations in Ashland, PA . This full-time, evening role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and experience in data management within a healthcare or pharmacy setting .
Position Overview
As a Data Technician , you will play a key role in maintaining accurate pharmacy records, processing prescription and insurance data, managing inventory data, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations . You will collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and administrative staff to enhance efficiency and accuracy in pharmacy operations.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday | 3 : 30 PM – 12 : 00 AM
Rate is $19 per hour , which includes a $3.00 shift differential
Key Responsibilities
Data Entry & Maintenance – Accurately input and manage pharmacy data, including prescription records, patient information, and insurance claims.Inventory Tracking – Monitor stock levels, update medication inventory records, and assist with ordering processes.Regulatory Compliance – Ensure all data complies with HIPAA and FDA regulations related to pharmacy operations.Billing & Insurance Support – Process insurance claims, verify prescription details, and resolve discrepancies.Reporting & Analysis – Generate reports on medication usage, sales trends, and operational efficiencies to support decision-making.Collaboration – Work closely with pharmacists, technicians, and other staff to support smooth pharmacy operations.Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent ; associate’s degree or coursework in healthcare, data management, or related fields is a plus .Experience with pharmacy software, data entry systems, or inventory management tools (e.g., QS / 1, PioneerRx, McKesson) is preferred.Strong understanding of pharmaceutical and medical terminology .Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management .Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain data accuracy .Ability to handle confidential patient information securely and professionally .Why Join Concept Pharmacy?
