We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Sprinkler Technician to join our maintenance team and ensure the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems across the properties we manage. This could be a seasonal full-time position or a permanent position. During the landscaping season you will be doing primarily sprinkler work and then during the off season you would be doing apartment maintenance if you are interested in a permanent position.
Job Summary: The Sprinkler Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of sprinkler systems across various properties under our management. This role will involve working closely with the property management and maintenance teams to ensure that all sprinkler systems are functioning properly, promoting water efficiency, and maintaining the aesthetic quality of the landscapes.
Duties Included:
Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on sprinkler systems, including inspecting pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, timers, and controllers. Ensure systems are running at peak performance.
Repairs & Troubleshooting: Identify and fix problems with sprinkler systems such as leaks, low pressure, broken components, or malfunctioning timers. Provide recommendations for system upgrades as needed.
System Optimization: Test and adjust sprinkler heads, controllers, and irrigation schedules to maximize system efficiency and meet property needs.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to any emergency sprinkler system issues, such as broken pipes or water wastage, to minimize disruption to property operations.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to use own car for transportation between properties (gas stipend included as a benefit).
- Must be physically able to bend, reach, use step ladder, and occasionally carry reasonably heavy objects.
- Must be able to work independently without straying from schedule.
- Must possess great customer service skills as you will likely run into our tenants on a regular basis.
- Must be able to use smart phone device for reporting purposes (photos, sending updates, etc).
