Concept2, the market-leading manufacturer of fitness ergometers, and composite racing oars, seeks a talented Software Engineer to join the engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on a range of different projects and codebases. They will lead and contribute to the development and maintenance of product software in a small, collaborative, team environment. They will help provide support for customers and internal users with technical issues. This is a full-time position based out of our Morrisville, VT office.

Responsibilities:
- Manage remote development partners/consultants.
- Responsible for R&D test software to support the mechanical and electrical development of machines.
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of internal production automation applications used in the manufacturing of equipment.
- Interact with other teams in and outside the company – Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Marketing, and Manufacturing.
- Enable test strategies for new components in upcoming products.
- Effectively utilize bug tracking and crash reporting tools.
- Customer technical support and bug/problem investigation.
- Willingness to support brainstorming of new features and products to determine which products or features are needed.
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
- Significant coursework or Degree in Computer Science, Software development, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- C/C
- Python
- Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles.
- Strong knowledge of Operating Systems principle.
- Understanding and experience with low voltage DC control circuitry.
- Database design and normalization.
- Understanding of basic testing, coding, and debugging procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for embedded systems and mobile applications.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with the QT development platform.
- Experience with communication protocols such as USB, Bluetooth, WiFi, Modbus TCP, etc.
- Some web development experience.
- Hands-on experience in the design, development, launch, and maintenance of high-volume consumer electronic products.
- Rowing or fitness background is a plus.
