What are the responsibilities and job description for the Silo Prep Cook (Part Time) position at Conceptually Social - Silo Tempe?
MAIN DUTIES:
- Execute prep items and recipes to according to direction and spec
- Apply safe Food Handling and Sanitation practices when preparing, handling or storing consumable items
- Clean and maintain an organized prep area
- Keep line stocked with prep items throughout shift
- Assist with dishes when a dishwasher is not on shift or needs help during high volume times
- Maintains a working environment that is set up for success, by properly setting up and breaking down kitchen and dish areas, stocking stations properly ,completing daily side work & cleaning duties, and keeping cooking areas organized throughout service
- Help put orders away
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- Food handling card or certification through approved organization
- Able to lift and move 50 pounds
- Able to sustain working long hours on your feet
- Should have reliable transportation to get to scheduled shifts on time
- Ability to multi-task
- 1 year experience in a restaurant kitchen
- Experience with basic prep and recipe execution
- Can follow directives and instructions, on the spot, during busy times
- Basic knowledge of weights and recipe measurements
- Basic knife skills
- Ability to read a recipe and do proper measurement conversions
- Morning availability
Silo is a Monday thru Friday cafe located in the Hayden Ferry Lakeside Complex near Mill Ave and Rio Salado Pkwy. We have a broad array of scratch cuisine including hot sandwiches and burgers, salads, breakfast items and sushi fresh rolled.
