What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista + FOH Silo Tempe position at Conceptually Social?
Silo is seeking a friendly, team oriented, multitasking, counter server with great attention to detail from start to finish. Our servers will deliver a genuine smile, while continually learning our changing menu and enhancing the quality of our customer service. Silo’s uniqueness of an all hands-on approach, will allow your talents to shine; from counter servicer to barista to bussing the dining room. If you have previous experience at a fast-paced restaurant and a dedication to providing excellent service to guests, are solution-oriented and have great organizational skills we want to hear from you!
Silo is located at the Hayden Ferry Lakeside business park on the corner of Rio Salado and Mill Ave. We feature an espresso bar, various sandwiches, salads, and other cold items for a quick service. as well as hot, cooked to order lunches. We will deliver for nearby offices.
Silo is only open M-F, Breakfast and Lunch, NO WEEKENDS. We are currently looking for FULL-TIIME help, M-F shifts needed for opening. 6:30am - 2:00pm.
This is a diverse position that entails running food, making coffee, prepping food, bussing and making friends with our guests.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 18 years or older
- Prior coffee experience a plus but not necessary
- Food handling card or certification through approved organization, and ability to apply that knowledge by way of proper food handling
- POS experience desired but not necessary
- Strong communication skills in a highly social environment
- Basic knowledge of common weights and recipe measurements
- Able to lift and move 30-50 pounds
- Able to sustain working long hours on your feet
- Should have reliable transportation to get to scheduled shifts on time
MAIN DUTIES:
- Create welcoming environment for all customers by greeting them promptly and educating them about our coffee and food menus.
- Develop a rapport with customers by learning their names, favorite drinks and food items.
- Keep up to date with current coffee beans being offered, specialty drinks or new food items
- Prepares drinks properly according to both our menu’s recipes and customer’s requests
- Apply safe Food Handling and Sanitation practices when preparing, handling or storing consumable items
