Concern Housing is seeking a Weekend Counselor who will be responsible for assisting the Supervisor and Service Coordinator in the delivery of direct services to the supportive tenants, as well assisting in the overall operations of the site. The counselor provides a variety of services, ranging from the teaching of skills and delivery of concrete services to providing counseling to the Supportive tenants.
Position: Weekend Counselor
Location: Brooklyn, NY (Surf Vets)
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday; 8am - 4pm
Salary: $19.00/hr.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Provides direct care services to the supportive tenants
- Responsible for documentation of the supportive tenants’ record as assigned
- Monitor the site, coordinate and participate in program activities such as recreational activities, safety checks etc.
- Provide rehabilitative support services in daily living skills, health services and others as assigned
- Monitor medication; perform medication counts; prepare medication sheets
- Assists with transportation of clients, as needed
- Perform unit inspections; train and assist residents in maintaining the cleanliness of individual units
- Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings
Requirements: Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent along with at least two years of experience in a similar role.
