Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and support to individuals, ensuring their safety and well-being in various settings.
- Conduct regular assessments of clients' needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
- Implement crisis management techniques and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
- Collaborate with social workers, healthcare providers, and other professionals to coordinate care for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of interactions, assessments, and interventions.
- Facilitate communication between clients and their families, as well as with external agencies such as child protective services.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavior changes among clients.
- Advocate for the rights of individuals with disabilities and ensure they receive appropriate services.
- Stay informed about family law, child welfare policies, and best practices in childcare.
Qualifications.
- Familiarity with child protective services and child welfare systems is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children and families in various capacities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities.
