Summary/Objective
Concerto is seeking a Nurse Manager to join its team! The Nurse Manager is an individual who is responsible for nursing services and provides oversight and direction to all direct care staff that provide dialysis and nursing care in the program. The Nurse Manager reports to the Regional Manager and is accountable for staffing, regulatory compliance, and CRS policies and procedures in accordance with Concertos policies, procedures, and training and in compliance with regulations set for by state and federal agencies.
Essential Functions
QUALITY:
- Promotes quality standards through utilization of KDOQ guidelines, ESRD, regulatory requirements and CRS professional standards of care
- Assurance of quality patient outcomes and professional standards of care
- Provides for periodic chart audit and data collection for analysis of quality indicators
- Track and trend data to determine need for policy change and/or facility practice
- Prepares monthly QAPI data and summary and presents at monthly Corporate QAPI to Medical Director and ensures implementation of action plans
- Prepares weekly report of unit activities and reports at Management Meeting
REGULATORY & SAFETY:
- Conducts monthly documentation audits
- Conducts monthly facility audits
- Follows up on Adverse Occurrence reports and conducts Root Cause Analysis as needed
- Ongoing maintenance and development of policies and procedures that reflect practice and assure safety and regulatory compliance
- Reports and follows up on equipment repairs
- Ensure timely and appropriate action to state survey recommendations
STAFFING & SUPERVISION:
- Interviewing, hiring and retention of appropriate staff to maintain proper staffing ratios
- Responsible for coaching, training and overseeing performance of direct report staff
- Provide continuing education opportunities as needs identified
- Conducts regular staff meetings to share information and concerns
- Maintain effective communication process with COO
- Maintain effective communication with all CRS employees including departments heads and support staff
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to do light lifting of at least 20 lbs.
- Requires mental, visual, and auditory attention to patients, customers, and staff.
- Work environment is characteristic of a health care facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels.
- May be exposed to infectious and contagious disease/materials.
- Requires travel between facilities.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.)
- Current appropriate state licensure in good standing
- At least 12 months experience as a registered nurse, plus 6 months experience as a registered nurse providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients, in either a chronic or acute setting.
- Previous management experience preferred
- Understanding of CMS regulations
- Basic Use Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Unencumbered drivers license
- CPR certification
