PURPOSE OF POSITION
Position is responsible for assisting the management the company’s accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits. Also, this position will be responsible for reviewing and posting daily sales data, reviewing proper utilization of airline vouchers, reviewing bank activity, regular AR tasks as well as monthly AP tasks as assigned. Special Projects and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
POSITION SUMMARY
Position is responsible for assisting the management the company’s accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits. Also, this position will be responsible for reviewing and posting daily sales data, reviewing proper utilization of airline vouchers, reviewing bank activity, regular AR tasks as well as monthly AP tasks as assigned. Special Projects and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review Daily Sales Summaries (DSS) for assigned units by comparing them to point of sale data, resolving discrepancies and posting the sales.
- Review Airline Vouchers and ensure they are processed correctly per airlines written instructions as well as CI Policy in conjunction with the DSS.
- Review and code bank activity for assigned units.
- Create Airline Voucher Invoices – Mail or Upload them to the proper locations.
- Create additional AR invoices as directed by the accountants throughout the monthly period to comply with deadlines to customers.
- Create AP invoices for Rents, Management Fees, Royalties and other items calculated and requested by the accountants.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adheres to applicable regulatory requirements, organizational policies and procedures, and departmental guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
The qualifications listed below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this position.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma with some college or university credits in finance or accounting. Previous experience in hospitality preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Intermediate computer skills with an emphasis in PC use.
- Moderate Microsoft Office suite skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point etc.
- Ability to learn new systems and follow written instructions to navigate independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers, vendors and/or others as required.
- Ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must be detail oriented and organized.
- Analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills; ability to resolve conflict and deliver results.
- Solid interpersonal, team building and; ability to collaborate and work effectively with others
