Duties and Responsibilities (Benefits and Resources):
In collaboration with administrators and Coordinator(s),
- Supports the identification of community sites, events and activities for recruitment of individuals and families eligible for benefits, credits and programs that stabilize standards of living;
- Promotes and attends activities to expose individuals and families eligible for benefits, credits and programs within the local community;
- Establishes rapport with individuals and families eligible for benefits, credits and programs, answering questions as appropriate;
- Gathers and interprets relevant information to support recruitment and registration for benefits, credits and programs within the local community;
- Obtains and uses necessary information to register and enroll individuals and families for benefits, credits and programs, safeguarding personal information as legally appropriate;
- Follows up with individuals and families, as necessary, via telephone or email to support completion of registration and enrollment for benefits, credits and program;
- Completes tracking data for administrators and Coordinator(s) to update progress to program goals;
- Supports creation of narrative reports to funders and the Board of Directors, as needed;
- Participate in agency, staff and funder meetings and trainings, as appropriate.
- Participate in ongoing individual supervision.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Drivers License and Insurance
- Completion of a high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED)
- Ability to pass background checks, i.e., Federal Criminal History Record Information, National Sex Offender Registry, PA Access to Criminal History and PA Child Abuse History
- Proficiency in computer programs and applications, i.e., Microsoft 365 Suite
- Bilingual and/or multilingual fluent in both English and Spanish verbally and transcribing required
- Understanding of client confidentiality and the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

Work Environment:
As a Program Specialist, you will split your time between office-based tasks and fieldwork. Key expectations include:
- Field Work:
- Regular travel to field sites, including community organizations, partner locations, and project sites.
- Ability to navigate diverse environments (outdoor, rural, urban) and travel for long hours or overnight stays as required.
- Physical demands include walking, carrying equipment, and working in varying weather conditions.
- Office Work:
- Manage program documentation, data analysis, and reporting tasks.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders remotely, providing updates and sharing insights from the field.
Salary : $21 - $22
