our understanding of ourselves and the world
through purposeful collaboration and creative engagement.

The school seeks to appoint an experienced math teacher with a facility for working with students across the math curriculum. The position centers around support of students through the department’s core requirements and offers opportunities to teach advanced courses or to design and teach electives that fall outside of the traditional sequence of math courses. Current and past electives have included non-calculus-based courses (such as economics or math of social justice), and/or post-calculus advanced topics classes (such as topology or linear algebra). The math section of our Program Catalog details examples of the range of courses that have been taught in the department. The successful candidate will be an innovative and effective educator who has great enthusiasm for working with adolescents, who enjoys collaborating with colleagues, and who has strong organizational and executive functioning skills. Applicants should have significant coursework in a relevant subject.
The school provides a competitive benefits package and salary is commensurate with experience. All faculty members at Concord Academy participate fully in the life of the school; responsibilities include advising, serving on committees and/or clubs, and periodically providing an adult presence at school events. Coaching an athletic team is welcomed but not required and is remunerated separately. On-campus housing may be available, but it is limited, and faculty members are not required to live at the school.
Interested candidates are asked to send a cover letter, resume, and transcripts via the ADP portal addressed to: Sarah Yeh, Associate Head for Teaching, Learning, and Faculty
Application materials for this position are preferred by 28 March 2025. If you are considering applying after this date please contact the school to inquire as to the status of this search.
