What are the responsibilities and job description for the CCHS METCO Director position at Concord-Carlisle High School?
The METCO Director oversees the management functions of the Concord-Carlisle High School METCO program. The Director is responsible for the academic achievement and cultural and social well-being of Boston students and their families. The Director will assist the principals, faculty, METCO Academic Liaisons, and METCO Tutors in using achievement data to identify the educational needs of Boston students and develop new programs and initiatives to increase student achievement. The METCO Director will participate annually in the placement process of Boston students with the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). The METCO Director will coordinate transition programs for rising 9th-grade students. The METCO Director will develop strong partnerships with parents, school administrators, faculty and staff, and other advocates of METCO in the Concord-Carlisle school community. The METCO Director will exhibit professionalism, active leadership, and demonstrated cultural competency on issues of Race/Racism and or class that frequently evolve in suburban communities that are not racially diverse.
